Proxy Dashboard Guide Part 1: Creating and Managing Users

Published:  at  04:00 PM

Welcome to your proxy dashboard! This guide will walk you through the most fundamental step: managing user credentials. Each ‘user’ you create is a unique set of credentials (username:password) that you can use to authenticate with our proxy network.

Step 1: Navigate to User Management

After logging into your dashboard, locate the “Proxy Users” or “Credential Management” section in the main navigation menu. This is your central hub for all authentication credentials.

Step 2: Creating a New User

  1. Click the “Add New User” or “Create Credentials” button.
  2. A form will appear asking for a username and password. For security, we recommend using a generated password, but you can also create your own.
  3. Assign any specific settings if applicable (e.g., bandwidth limits, specific proxy pools).
  4. Click “Create”.

Your new user credentials will now appear in the list. You can use these immediately for authentication.

Step 3: Deleting a User

If you no longer need a set of credentials, you can easily remove them.

  1. Find the user you wish to delete in the user list.
  2. Click the “Delete” or trash can icon next to the user entry.
  3. A confirmation prompt will appear to prevent accidental deletion. Confirm your choice.

The user credentials will be instantly revoked and removed from the system. In the next part of this series, we’ll show you how to use these credentials with the cURL command.
